Casper was born in Baden around 1839 according to census info. He and his wife Anna Miller came to the US in 1866. The first 3 children have birthdates prior to 1866 so were probably born in Germany. So far every Diehm line I've come across does not link with mine so I still don't have any idea who his parents or siblings are. Or even why they chose St. Johns, MI. There is no mention of following relatives to America in the family history (looks like yours were here before mine) and the names you mention don't sound familiar. But then my grandfather died of pneumonia at age 40 so we have lost contact with that side of the family over the years. We are more connected with my grandmother's Devereaux side in Michigan. Where is St. Clair in relation to St. Johns, Clinton County? Do you know when your family arrived? Feel free to email me directly RTurn2US@sprynet.com Thanks.
