Your Father Paul Frederick Diehm was born at Hartford Hospital on Oct 10, 1944. His Parents are...Margaret Elsie Gigl Diehm who was born in Stafford Hollow, Ct on June 7, 1904. His Father was Frederick Lucious Diehm of West Hartford, Ct. He was born in Middletown, Ct on November 15, 1902.
Your Great Grandfather Lucious Nathanial Diehm was born in Middlefield, Ct. Your Great Grandmother Cassie Jane O'Brien Diehm was born in Canada being of Irish/English decent. Her Fathers name was Frederick O'Brien and her mothers name was Charoltte Estebrook O'Brien.
I have located the graves of your Great Great Grandparents, Andrew and Harriet Diehm in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middlesex County. Also might be some Great great great grandparents there but for sure, a 2 year old great great aunt named Clara, daughter of Andrew and Harriet. I have been doing some digging and am searching for old records. I have more information that leads us back into the 1600's..New London, Ct and up into the Colchester area...many of our Beebe decendants are from the East Haddam, Moodus, Millington, Colchester, Hebron area's....Grandmother Harriet is a Beebe decendant. I am attempting to get in touch with the people who run the Pine Grove Cemetery, it's a challenge. They will be able to give me a lot more information. I am presently researching things and have several leads. There aren't many still alive in our part of the Diehm family that goes back to the time of your grandfather Frederick. Many have died off. Will keep you updated if you would like me to do so.
Aunt Carolejane
