Casper Diehm, 1839 Baden >MI in 1866

Your Frederick would have been the same generation as my Casper Diehm Sr. Casper was born about 1839 in Baden and he and his wife Anna Miller of Prussia immigrated to US in 1866. They settled in Clinton County, MI. Their children were listed in the 1880 census as: Casper Jr.(NI), Joseph (my G-Grandfather), Peter, Matthew, Catherine (NI), Clara (NI), Doretta (died as infant). I am still looking for siblings and parents of Casper Sr. While the name is uncommon here in the States, I understand it is quite prevalent in Baden even today. That is making it all the harder to figure out who is related to who when you cross back over the Atlantic. Feel free to email me directly at
