Alvin according to my grandfather, his son, Eugean said that they were sheepherders and they lived out of a wagon for most of his young life traveling in Utah, Idaho area and when they stayed in a house one winter Alvin went and helped a neighbor with his bees and the bees swarmed Alvin and that is why he died so young.

Also, he was in Utah because he was of mormon religion. Eugean was a sheepherder for many years, cook, WWI then moved to Payette, Idaho, then onto Portland, Oregon to work in the shipyards with his family of 8 children.

Since Alvin is a brother to Cyrus that makes us cousins.
