Recommend find book: John Dieter of Northampton County Pennsylvania and His Descendants 1735-1972; edited by Esther E.(Dieter) Gundry. Reprints by Higginson Book Co. 148 washington st, PO Bx 778, Salem, MA 01970. It is well researched and should answer most Dieter family questions. I don't have it at this time but it was a major source of family connections - about 700 pages!. I am descendant of Civil War veteran Capt. John P. Dieter and Maria Magadalend Kohl.
