Our John Francis (FRANK) DIETZ b abt 1821 Bavaria Germany d July 1890 Rye (Westchester Co.)NY married Bridget CREEGAN or Creaghan daughter of John & Alice. Bridget was b 1835 Ireland and immigrated 1853. She became a US Citzen July 1866. Frank & Brigid owned a home in New Lots Brooklyn NY & (1865) Wyskof Pl (by 1879) 88 West Street (1890)57 Bristol St in Rye NY. In the 1865 Census for New Lots Bridgets mother Alice CREAGHAIN age 70 was living with Frank & Briget.Frank DIETZ suffered from a cancer on the face and scalp for 20 years before his death in 1890, he was a peddler or junk man. Frank was originally buried as Frank DIETZE in Most Holy Trintiy Cemetery Bklyn NY Block 068 Row 006 No 022 with a William F EMMEL d 1906, Mary STRECKER d 1901 & Anne STRECKER d 1904. Frank was later moved to St John's Cemetery in Queens. Bridget CREEGAN DIETZ appears in the 1900 census living with daughter Anna DIETZ ECKSTEIN 57 Bristol St near Rock St Bridget was 64 had 5 births and 2 were alive she was in the US 47 years she died in 1901 during a long & deadly heat wave that struck the east coast.

James E DIETZ 1858 Bklyn NY -1925 Rye NY married Mary Ann CARROLL of Monaghan Ire (imm 1882) d 1931 NY they lived in Manhattan, Kings Co Brooklyn & Rye NY James E made a trip to Ire in 1912 we have photo of him on a donkey at Gap of Dunloe Co Kerry. Ten children for James E & MaryAnn CARROLL.
Francis DIETZ b 1873 Bklyn NY married Katherine MEYER 1896 they had 3 children I know of Alice 1896, Mabel 1902 & son Francis who died 1906.
Anna Elizabeth DIETZ first married Christian FAULSTICH married New Lots Bklyn Oct. 1881 age 22 for him 18 for Anna. Christian's parents were Joseph FAUSTICH & Caroline GRACE he was once a trapezee artist then a woodworker there were 5 or more children before Christian's death. Christian was b Bklyn NY abt 1859- died bef 1896. Anna then married George ECKSTEIN Nov 1896 he was born Sept.1863 George was originally a Steeplejack then a painter of houses. They lived on Sumpter St Bklyn.
Jacob and John DIETZ we have no information on them. Chance are they died young. I do have a certificate for a Thomas Francis b April 1867 baptised St Malachy's Hendrix St Brooklyn sponsors Thomas CREGAN & Bridget ROSHELL
