Just ran across these postings today. Hope you are still here.
I, too, am a decendant of George Diffendaffer (or however he spelled it). Seems like his ancestry doesn't want to be "found".
I was just wondering if Gotlieg is of my George's lineage. My George died in 1837 in Carrol County, Indiana. I learned that this was around the time the Walbash and Erie Canal was being built and most of its workers came from Warren County, Ohio. I don't know where he was buried.
George married Christina Armantrout on 03 Mar 1815 in Warren County. He would of been about 28 at the time. It's possiable that he could of had another wife first.
He and Christina had three sons:
David-b. 1816
Alexander-b. 1818
Joseph Henry-b. 1820

Any help would be a great help.

Thanks
Jolene (daughter of James)
