Mary DIGGINS, BORN ABOUT 1832 in Nova Scotia. She married Edward Shea born about 1821 in Kerry, Ireland. They probably married in Nova Scotia. Their children were born in Nova Scotia between 1854 and 1862 (Mary Ellen, John, Bridget, Edward). The sons and father were coopers.
Mary Ellen married Asa Lyons and had sons Edward J. and Asa. Asa (father) was reported
deceased on the Prince Edward Island, Canada 1881 census, Georgetown Royalty, Kings County. All of the the family except the elder Asa Lyons were reported on that census.
By the middle 1880s Mary Ellen and her children, Bridget, John, and both Edwards appeared in Duluth, Minnesota, USA where Mary and Edward's children and Mary Ellen's children lived the rest of their lives. The elder Edward appeared in Duluth about 1888 but whereabouts after that us unknown as is anything further about Mary DIGGINS Shea.
Bridget married Jonathan Ross WADE in Duluth in 1888. They had 3 children, Mary Agnes, James Edward, and Florence Manita.
Mary Agnes (Mae) died in Duluth about 1983.
James died at age 30 in Duluth, and Florence M. (Nita) WADE Roth died in Hibbing, Minnesta, USA in 1987.
Places and dates of births, marriages, and deaths, ship information, and any other information you'd be willing to share would be very welcome.
