Thanks for your message, apologies for me delay in replying to you.
I do have alot of information that I have obtained a recent Diggins get together for the 100th anniversary of the marrige of my Great Grandfather & Grand Mother, Percival George Alexander Diggins & Ethel Habberman.
Most of the information was put together by Margaret Richardson, of Perth, who is the Grand Daughter of Albert Emmanuel Diggins.
I have Johns bith date as 2 Jan 1839 Totnes Devon and the same info as you on his death.
I believe the he had with his wife Christina Sherrod the following children
