Thank you. That clears up that part of the confusion. I have records from Neghs that I believe show that John and Bridget's son Arthur was married twice--his first wife was Annie Laurie Murphy who died in Beverly MA May 30, 1898 of consumption. I have a record of Arthur remarrying in 1902 to a Lillian Street. I thought at first that it was the other Arthur because his occupation was listed as a laborer Annie Laurie's husband was a mariner but the parents listed on the marriage record were John and Bridget. I have found some conflicting information on other records from the Neghs (eg Annie Laurie's mother is listed differently on her marriage and death record). I've also found this with other relatives--I guess the information is only as accurate as what the reporting person tells the record keeper. Anyway if you would like to see some of the records I could email them to you. Let me know. Thanks for your help.
