Shirley - I have gone back to some of the original civil records for Lama dei Peligni, Chieti, Molise and located in my research of my mother's DiGiacomo line the additional names of DiFabrizio and Rossi. Yours is the first posting I have seen that even comes close to a possible connection. My immediate family however, settled in the West, Utah, Wyoming and ?? There is mention in my mother's papers of one of my great-aunts moving to Argentina. I have always felt there were probably other family members who immigrated to other parts of the US. My great-great grandfather was Nicola DiGiacomo married to Rosina Palomba. They were married in Bone, Algeria (which is probably where she was from), which was held by the French at that time (about 1832). Any connection??
