Just found out yesterday that my deceased maternal grandmonther, born Maddalena DiGiacomo in Castel Frentano (?) had sisters or brothers that moved to Rio deJanero, Brazil, possibly in the 20's. Does the name "Ida Fresca" (?) sound familiar. My grandmother was the youngest of 8 or 10 siblings and her father died when she was 8 years old.
"Fresca" was the name of one of her first cousins, I think.
