My father's family (Dominic DiGiacomo) is from the Chieti, Abruzzi region of Italy. They are from a small town near Pescada, called Castel Frentano. Most of that town is made up of DiGiacomo's or, on my grandmother's side of the family (Crognale). My paternal grandfather came to the U.S. in about 1929. My father & grandmother came over 5 years later. They settled in Windber, PA as coalminers. Any of this match anything you know?
