Hello Dave,
I wonder if you might be related to a line from Corleone?
I have a Vincenza Sapurito born abt. 1762 who married a Bernardo Di Giorgio born abt. 1760 (both born in Corleone) Their daughter was Mattia Di Giorgio (born abt. Abt. 1789 in Corleone) who married Nicolo Petta born September 07, 1757 in Piana dei Greci, Palermo Province, Sicily, Italy.
The marriage took place in September 1812 in Piana dei Greci, Palermo Province, Sicily, Italy..all their children were born in Piana...
There were PETTA(s) who came through New Orleans, LA around 1900 (1898-1905), who moved to an area near Fort Worth, TX.
Others migrated north to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
