Looking for information about the parents of Mary Dignan, She was born about 1801 in Roscommon Ireland. She married John Ryan about 1817. They had one child in Ireland, Mariah, then came to America around 1820. They first settled in New York where son John was born about 1824. The family then moved to Lewiston Pennsylvania. Husband John died before 1829 and Mary then married William Ryan. The family moved to Maryland and was in Iowa by 1850. Known children of Mary and William were Catherine, Anne, Mathew (consistently spelled with one t), William and Mary, all born in Maryland. Mary died in 1878 in Allamakee County Iowa, husband William died there in 1888. Any help appreciated
