Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

My G.G.Grandfather was Matthew Dignan. He came to the US somewhere between 1860 and 1865. His occupation was a shoe maker. He stayed in the NYC area for about 25 years and then headed out west. He had at least one son Richard Dignan. I also have a John Dignan who was a witness on Richard Dignan
wedding certificate.

Can he be an relation to your Matthew?
