I do hope you can still be reached through Ancestry. I found your posting on the Dignan Forum, listing a Patrick Dignan. I am following a extremely dubious trail. My husband's ancestor, Thomas Carlin married a Mary Dignan/Digman/Digby or any other variation you can imagine. We have never been able to pin down a surname. Mary was born in County Limerick, 24 June, 1830. She and Thomas (who was from County Meath)married in New Orleans, moved to Iowa for a couple of years and then to Seneca, Nemaha Co. KS, where they lived out their lives. Just today I noticed in an old Nemaha Co. KS "Atlas" that a Patrick Dignan had property very close to Thomas Carlin and Mary D..(whatever) Carlin in Nemaha County. I would love to connect her to a family and find out her real name. Do you have any information on Patrick Dignan's family...siblings, etc? Should would like to wrap Mary in the right name and would appreciate any help you can give.

Pat Curliss-Leiker
