Hi My Dignan family come from Drogheda co Meath. Alice Dignam was my great grand mother i though she emgragted to Iowa but she is on the census for Dewitt Iowa and it says she comes from Ireland born about 1877. My Dignam family William Dignam married Mary Ann Dignam
Bridget, James, Laurence, Thomas, John and Joseph

All from Drogheda Thomas Dignam is my great grand mothers father then there is other family from Drogheda I think Williams father is James Dignam and his father was Laurence and James had a brother called Patrick who died in 1803

Here is my Dignam website the surname can be spelt a lot of different ways Copy and past this link below there is photos of my grand father by looking at them you will be ablet to tell if they look like any of the Dignams from Iowa
