I have a Thomas Bernard Dignan in my family tree. I also have 22 James's, countless Patricks, Williams etc. My father (James Patrick) was born in Edinburgh in 1919. His father - also James was also born in Edinburgh. I will get out my books later and see if I have dates that may be useful. The name Daly also sounds very familiar.
