I thought I had replied to this, I know I wrote a reply, but then I didn't hand deliver it, either -- dag nabbed "ethernet"!

Yes, John Wesley, and his daughter Nancy Jane -- Robert Duncan Speer, my gg grandfather, married(2) the widow of Ambrose Orr McCreight, Nancy Jane Dihel, a daughter of John W & Nancy B Dihel.

Since they migrated west along similar paths, there are probably other instances where the Dihel Family crosses paths with the Speers, Aikins, Oliver, and Allard families.

Are there any factual truths to this Daniel Dihel / Jesse James business?
