My name is Gail Van Buren from Wisconsin looking for any information on my Dijkstra/Dykstra. I not have alot of information on them. This is what I have:
Sape Jans Dijkstra born abt 1808 in Anjum, Netherlands, he married Aafke jan de Jong on June 15 1837 in Metslawier, Netherlands. Her birth date is 1804 in Anjum, Netherlands. They had a son names Jan Sapes Dijkstra born nov 25 1838, he married Aukje Luninstra on unknown, her birth is mar 21 1842 were parents are Sjouke Gerrit Luninstra and Grietje Harmens Van Meekeren. They had children:
Sape Jans Dykstra born mar 25 1868, he married Hiltje De Boer on May 16 1896 in Metslawier, Netherlands.
Grietje (Gertrude) Jans Dijkstra born Dec 4, 1870 in Paesens, Netherlands, she married Eelke Hendriks (Eli) Posthuma on feb 28 1895 in Metslawier, Netherlands.
Sjouke Jans Dijkstra born May 20 1882, Frisian, Netherlands, he married to Sarah Havinga onmar 6 1907 in Randolph, Columbia County, Wisconsin. Then he married to Grace M. Westover on Mar 9 1909 in Portage, Columbia County, Wisconsin.
I hope someo kind soul would help be out with some information on my Dijkstra/Dykstra family. Any information would be grateful.
