I just replied to your direct question, below, but wanted to make sure you understood the migration patterns --- people who were in central Jersey in the mid-1700s, like the Janeway record - were likely to drift westward later in the century.The area of Sussex (present-day) Warren County, NJ, is right on the Delaware River and people from there were part of a larger community that included Northampton Co., PA.In fact, the Harmon Dildine I first inquired about, in Livingston co., NY, came from Oxford Twp., Sussex Co., NJ, and this was across from Mt. Bethel, Northampton Co.
I never heard of anyone from this area who relocated in SC, though.Some moved to the part of Virginia that became West Virginia later on.
