I am not sure how much information you have gathered on your Dildine side of the family.I have been researching the DILDINES of Tennesse trying to find a connection with my family. From looking at my notes and doing some additional research, I believe your line of DILDINES came from Tennessee.
Harmon Dildine moved his family from Tennessee to Arkansas around 1860.He is listed with his family in Newton County ARK 1870 census as follows
Harmon Dildine b. TN 1827 farmer
Nancy"b. TN 1827
John W"b. TN 1855
Sarah J."b. TN 1858
Mary"b. TN 1860
William"b. ARK 1862
*Silas"b. ARK 1863*
Benton"b. ARK 1864
Caroline"b. ARK 1867
Joseph H"b. ARK 1869
Malinda Dildine b. 1820 TN
Check out the family trees on Rootsweb and Ancestry.com, it looks as though Silas DILDINE (above) may be John Harmon DILDINE's father.According to a message posted on this site by Ed Bolden, he also lists a S.B. DILDINE marrying Rachel PARRIS 13 Oct 1883 in Washinton Co. ARK.
In 1880 Harmon and Nancy DILDINE are listed with their children including Silas in Washington County Arkansas.
The 1930 census lists J.H. Dildine, head, age 44 b OK
and Rosettie, wife, age 35 b MO and also lists their children. The 1910 census also lists them in the same county in OK and as being married 3 years with no children.Silas is also listed in the 1930 census living with one of his sons - he is listed as born in ARK and parents born in TN.
If you would like I can e-mail you some more details.Hope this helps.
Her parents - James Harman Dildine Sr. b1885 d Mar 1964 - buried in Nowata OK. Married to Rosetta Inman Dildine b1890 d April 1970
