Thanx for the response, Dale. At least we're in the right state; PA that is.
That LL spelling is the rarity. I don't know where my Aunt Ruth Dillmore got the inspiration but she named her daughter Dale.
It's a name that applies in either male or female children. Maybe the name re-occurs in the family tree. We just had a death in the Dillmore family: William, son of Elmer, at the age of 75.
PS How are you Dillmores built? We are stocky and never over 6' Usually 5'6" or so. Remarkable good health. Very few disabilities or surgical operations. Almost always live to 80, give-or-take 5 years. My mother, Edna, will be 90 in August and she carries herself as if she were younger than me! I'm 56, by-the-way.
