Looking for help with this family:
Peter Dilts (1813-1889 in NJ) His mother was Margaret Dilts. I don't know his father's name but apparently the father died 1813-1822. Margaret remarried to George Loeffler/Lefler in 1822 in Hunterdon Co. George and Margaret Lefler had three children: Sarah M.(1823)- didn't marry, William H.(~1826) - m. Josephine Taylor, and George W.(1835)- m. Rebecca Johnson.
Peter Dilts married Hannah Liverton in 1841 and they had 4 children: John V.(~1843-1863), Josephine T.(1845-1910) - married William Bailey, Sarah E.(1846-1888) - married Jesse Hellyer, and Hannah M.(1848-1868). Peter's first wife Hannah died in 1848 and the children went to live with various relatives. Baby Hannah went to Peter's mother Margaret Lefler.
Peter Dilts remarried 1850-57 to Sarah Johnson (daughter of Seneca and Jane Johnson of Bucks Co., PA) They had 6 children: Peter(~1857), Emmie(~1858), Johnson(1860-1904) - married Anna Eliza Kirkman, Ida M.(1863-~1920) - didn't marry, Hetty(~1865), and William(1868-1896).
Does anyone know anything more about this family? I'd really like to find out who Peter Dilts' father was.
