From the Royal Center Record, April 24, 1936, Friday:
"Mrs. Rebecca Ann Dilts, 59, wife of George Dilts of northwest of town, died at her home Sunday morning after a long illness. She had been returned to her home from a Logansport (Indiana) Hospital about a week before her death. It was apparent at that time that death was near.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Star City M. E. Church in charge of Rev. C. V. Bigler, of the local M. E. Church. Burial was made in the Star City Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Surviving Mrs. Dilts besides the husband are four sons: Philip Andrew, George, Clayton "Sammy" and Raleigh; a brother Mace Kahler and three sisters, Mrs. Ella Gundrum, Mrs. Emma Bonnell and Mrs. Mollie Button.
