In Perry County, OH, Madison Twp., George Dils (c1773 NJ - 1859 Perry Co. OH) resided w/wife, Sarah Coryell Dils. In the 1820 census this family had 7 boys and 5 girls. A county history mentions both George and Cornelius as settlers (early 1800's), so maybe Cornelius was George's brother.
I've identified 3 ch., so far, as those of George & Sarah Coryell Dils/Dilts/Diltz:
1) Sarah Dilts, who m. Andrew Wolfe 1824 Perry Co. OH;
2) William Freeman Dilts (c1808 NJ? - 1864 Muskingum Co. OH), who m. Sarah Miller. In the 1850 census Perry Co. OH, they were near George & Sarah Diltz. They had 8 known ch., many migrating west. They were Edith, Elizabeth, Nathan, Sarah, Harriet, Flavius, Austin, and James Dilts, who became superintendent of schools in Eagle Co. Colorado;
3) Cornelius Dils/Dilts/Diltz, b. c1799
who m. Sarah Jakes(Jacques)1829 Perry Co. OH, had son Milton January 1830.
