Hi Anthony, I have just about giving up on finding any of my relations on this forumn. But, just maybe we can make a connection. Are you from LA? I am from PA but my mothers family all lived in LA after they came through the port of New Orleans. MY grandmother Marie DiMarco had brothers named Joseph, Jake and maybe more. These are vague memories of what my mother Laura told me. My mother died in 1952 And it wasn't till the last few years when after I was close to dieing that I really wanted to find my ancestry. I would like to be able to share this with my great granchildren.
My grandmother Marie DiMarco married Thomas Mancuso. They had 6 children Anthony, Anna. Laura, Michael, Anna Marie, and Lucheon. Only Anthony, Laura and Anna Marie(who went by Anna) survived childhood. My grandmother Marie was said to have died at the age of 26 from blood poison after squezing a pimple on her nose. When I was a young lady still in school, my mother was sick and she always felt that if she could live back in LA, she would get well. So my dad brought her down along with my younger sister and older brother to live close to Uncle Jake and Aunt Rosie DiMarco. When I came down to visit I remember a DiMarco a neighbor and relative next door. I don't remember if this was in Marrero or Westwego (I don't know if i'm spelling thes names right). I'm not sure if the related neighbor was Joseph, Anthony or Frank I can remember his wife was called Peggy DiMarco. There children I believe were Rosealy and Frankie. In my Uncles house there were two young girls Marie and Annie.
Are we related Anthony???.......Marie
