Records of persons that were born, married, or died in Italy have been put on microfilm by the Church of Latter-Day Saints. They have gone all over the world, including Italy, and they have filmed the original civil records (birth, marriage, death, census, etc.) of most towns (not all). There are LDS Family History Centers all over the United States and other countries. You can contact them to order a reel of microfilm pertaining to the records/documents of the TOWN you are searching for. A few months ago I ordered 8 microfilm reels ($3.25 each) containing the records from Sant'Angelo all'Esca, Italy and I found and copied over 100 documents regarding my family in Italy from the years of 1809-1910 (in the first month of looking through the microfilm). This is the way to find what you are looking for! Good luck! Ciao, Leah DiMarco-McRae LeahBethM@yahoo.com p.s. The documents will be written in Italian.
