I know it's 7 years since your post, but John Dimmet is my GGGG Father. From several sources I've leaned that his wife's name was Lavina Shearer, same name as her daughter your GG-Mother, she died before the 1850 census. I'm assuming from the 1820 Census that Henery Dimmet (both are listed as "Dimmets")is John's Father. My GGG - Father is John Jr. his wife is Amanda Leslie. I found this recently "Unity Associate Reformed Church was established on April 2, 1833. A group of dissatisfied members of Bethel Associate Church filed a petition to the Presbytery. The petitioners were: David COON, John Mc GILL, Jno. LONG, John DIMIT, James SHARP, James McGGREGGOR, William ABER, Uzziah STEWART, John HEWITT and Sayers Brison Mc CLURKAN. Four of these men are laid to rest in the church cemetery. They are William ABER, John DIMIT, Sayers Brison Mc CLURKAN and James SHARP. Unity United Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 215 Unity Center Road, Plum, PA 15239 This information Copyrighted & Contributed by Darlene Pirozzi, peachy_dar@veri-nospam-zon.net"

I would appreciate hearing anything information you have learned.

Thanks

Greg Dimit
