I am just starting a search for my cousin Robert Dingess. His father's name was James Edward Dingess and his mother was Mildred Brown Dingess. His grandfather was Calvin Dingus(but when he left the service they signed him out as Calvin Dingess and he decided to just keep) He was married too Mae Keaton Dingess. calvin was from Logan County, West Virginia and his wife they believe was from Mingo county, west virginia. My cousin believed they lived in Williamsburg, west virginia his father James and his siblings and mother and father when they were younger.

Calvin he believes his two relatives William Dingess(us) and Johan Peter Dingess(us) came over on a Boat named "the brothers" and that william the father dies as did his mother and that Johan has a sister that was found wondering the streets and adopted by people and they live in the new england states. Also looking to see if we can trace any indian hertiage in this line of the family.

Calvin/Mae Dingess(us)

Carl
John
Melvin
Henry
Kay (?)
James

I would love to chat more with you and help my cousin find out some questions he has about his family..
