Peter and Buna Farmer Dingess' grandson dies in Logan County West Virginia on December 25, 2000. His Obituary appeared in the Logan Banner of Logan West Virginia on December 28, 2000. Neil Duane McCloud, 69, of Chapmanville, died December 25 at Logan General Hospital. He was born February 7, 1931, at Barberton, Ohio, a son of the late Greenway and Martha Dingess McCloud. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Anderson and Elizabeth Hensley McCloud and Peter and Buna Farmer Dingess; one sister, June McCloud; one brother, William Dale mcCloud; one niece, Debra Ann Justice, and one great-nephew, Stephen Seth Sansom. Mr. McCloud was a retired businessman, former owner and operator of Mountaineer Pharmacy, Mountaineer Variety Store, and Chapmanville Heating and Plumbing, all of Chapmanville, WV. He was a 1950 graduate of Chapmanville High School, of the Protestant faith, a member of the Aracoma Lodge No., 99 A.F. & A.M., 32nd degree Scottish Rites Mason, a member of the BeniKedem Shrine Temple of Charleston, WV, a life long member and past president of the Chapmanville Kiwanis Club, a Charter member of the American legion Post No. 103 of Chapmanville, WV. He was a life long Republican, currently serving on the Logan County Republican Executive Committee, on which he was first elected in 1968, a former member of the Logan Park Board, an avid golfer and member of the Long Country Club. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean conflict at the White Sands Proving Grounds in White Sands, New Mexico. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Evelyn Scaggs McCloud; two daughters, Pamela (William) Alderman of Chapmanville, and Duana Shawn (Rick) Bunch of Lexington, Ky.; one sister, Joyce (James) Frye of Barboursville; his mother-in-law, Glenna Swim of Chapmanville; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. December 29, 2000 at the Evans Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Wood and Minister Mac Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV.
