Ezekial Dingess, born 13 July 1892 and Martha Farley Dingess' b. May 1897 son dies in Logan County, WV on January 5, 2001.
Ezekial is the son of French William Dingess who is the son of William Dingess, who is the son of John Dingess, who is the son of Johan Peter Dingess.

Vernon Dingess, 82, of Chapmanville, WV
Mr. Dingess died Jan. 5, 2001 at his residence following a long illness with cancer. He was born April 17, 1918 at Chapmanville a son of the late Ezekiel and Martha Farley Dingess. Dingess was a life long resident of Chapmanville, served 20 years on the Democratic Executive Committee, served eight years as Logan County Sheriff and also as Chief Deputy. He was a member of the Shining Light United Baptish Church at Chapmanville. Survivors include his wife, Margie Parsons Dingess; five daughters, Brenda Ferrell, Elaine Meade, Vickie Dingess and Faye Maynard, all of Chapmanville and Joyce Mullins of Branchland; three sons, Roger of Raleigh, NC, Ralph of Dryden, Mich., and Kent of Chapmanville. Three sisters, Maudie Smith of Mich., Colleene Browning of Tenn. and Geneva Milligan of Ohio; one brother, Julius "Duty" Dingess of Barboursville, Wv; one step-daugher, Karen (Mike) Tiller of Chapmanville; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grand children and two step-grandsons. Funeral services were conducted at 1 pm Jan. 7 at the Evans Funeral Home at Chapmanville with Rev. Joaquine Ooten and Rev. Sherman Smith officiating. Entombment followrf in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Godby. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
