Mona, Eppie, John, Alpha of Wise county, Va

Mona Ethel Dingus, descendant of Peter Dingess, was born 30 March 1916 and died 6 November 1961. She is buried in the Ramey Section of Laurel Grove Cemetary in Norton, Wise County, Virginia.

Mona's brother is Johnnie, her sisters are Eppie Dingus and Alpha Dingus.

Mona's daughter Alice Faye Dingus, born 30 August 1937 in Wise County, Virginia married Ray M. Bolling and they moved to Manassas (Prince William County, VA), and Alice died there on 14 January, 1998.

It seems some of Mona's relatives are related to or descended from Samuel Crockett Dingus and to James Dingus and Martha Belcher of Kyle Ford, Tennessee. James died around 1900.

Some of James and Martha Belcher Dingus are buried in Big Stone Gap, Wise county, Virginia.

Thus there is a bit of confusion, as Philip Dinges (Tinis) and his descendants also live in Southwest Virginia, especially Russell, Scott and Wise Counties.
