Thanks for your response and information. There were two William McNeely's of that era and location. The William McNeely you have listed is son of Robert McNeely of Albemarle, VA who settled on the South Fork of Roanoke with the Barnett family, his wife's family, we have his children confirmed, Nancy is not his. The William who migrated to SW VA/WV was on the North Fork of Roanoke, we do not know his wife, we feel certain he is the father of Nancy, however we have found no solid documentation to confirm, tax lists, other data gives us strong circumstancial. I do have a couple of entry's for Nancy vs John Dingess reference Trespass case about 1821. Do you have anything on this? Thanks again. Maurice
