Ron, I have just tripped over this site (how I'm not quite sure because I am working on a completely different project at the moment) and can't take the time to check details now, but I believe Albert Dingle to have been my great uncle. I believe that his brother,Richard William Dingle, was my grandfather. There was, I think, a custom to call the oldest son Richard William and the second son William Richard, undoubtedly a scheme to confuse later generations! Richard William (my grandfather) married Emma Paisley of the Ottawa Valley (Quebec side) and they had six children. I believe they referred to your grandfather as Uncle Bert. If this sounds as if it fits, (as your note fits what I know) there is far more information to impart, but, as I indicated I have not the details at hand at the moment and have other irons in the fire (this retirement is such a busy time - love it!!) so it will have to wait until another time. I will note this site and return at a better time.
