Robert:

Thank you for responding to my wife's inquiry. The 3 leads that you provide would be more helpful if they also had a son, Peter, who might have been born somewhere between 1812 and 1825 which is when we are guessing that my wife's Gr.-Grandfather might have been born. His son, Patrick, was born in 1842 in Ireland near Dublin. My wife obtained this information from the Family History Room at the local Church of Jesus Christ & Latter day Saints. It listed Peter as his father, but offered no other information other than the name of Patrick's mother.

We were hoping that someone else might be able to help us. My wife insists that her Dingle family must have all originated from Ireland. But having read many e-mails on this website, I suspect that her Dingle ancestors may have emmigrated from SW England, possibly Cornwall, and crossed the sea into Ireland. She doesn't think so. We trying to find out who is correct.

How do we get a copy of the book that you referenced and where is Kerwyn County?

Chuck Hunnewell
