Sorry this dosen't have anything to do with Jane Richards but is just a note to thank Sheila

While searching for my Husband's Great Grandfather (Aaron Dingle) I came across her entry to Evelyn (re Jane Dingle Richards, 3 April 2001)

I had found out that Aaron's parents were James & Thomasin, but the added information that you have supplied for me is that James was a miner or Mine Agent. I again thank you for that small piece of information.

As for Aaron in the 1851 census, he was a Police Constable. He married Eliza Jane Penhaul and had 3 children Beatrice Mary, Phillipa A and Arthur Ernest. (my Husband's Grandfather) I have also located a Mary Jane and an Albert Edward.

Arthur Ernest married Ellen Beatrice Willet in Bristol England 1906. They came to New Zealand and by 1916 Arthur had died. Leaving a wife and 3 children, two girls and a boy Leslie (my husbands father). Ellen remarried a Arthur Davis and the children took his last name.

Thanks again
Margaret Davis
