Richard: Holden and Lockwood in "Lockwood Family in America" reports that Phebe Dingle, dau. of Edward Dingle and granddau. of Rev. Edward Dingle, md. William Lockwood in 1804 probably in Sussex Co., DE; H&L reports that they moved to Preble Co., OH in 1826 and that she died in 1840. Based upon the will of Benjamin Lockwood (SX Co., DE), Phebe may have been the dau. of Hannah Lockwood, the dau. of the above Benjamin Lockwood (1725-1822).
Please let me know if this fits is supported by your information. I am a descendent of Thomas Aydelott, who md. Rebecca Lockwood, a sister of the above Phebe Lockwood.
