I have been doing some study on the Dingli Family and it looks like there is a variety of spelling As you have noticed I spell my name so DINGLI, others prefer DINGLEY and others still opt for DINGLE. My assumption is that they are all from the same stock however spelling has been adapted to suit local custom. In Malta (Europe) it is listed as DINGLI. The current family tree can be traced back to 1594 (That is The DINGLI variety. Drop us a line if you can add to this confusion
