The first time I saw 'DILDINE' was actually spelled DILTEY 1710. Came to America from what today is Diersdorf, Ger. I believe.
The accepted spelling today is DILDINE basically. I have seen it spelled DILTEYIN, DELDINE, DILDIN, DIELDIN, DILDY, DILDEIN, DILLDINE etc.
DILTEYIN WAS THE 2ND SPELLING I SAW. HANS JACOB DILDINE CAME ON the 6TH SHIP OF PALATINES TO AMERICA. HE PASSED VERY SOON AFTER HE GOT HERE. NEXT SPELLING WAS DILTEYIN.
