Sarah Elizabeth Dingus and George Washington Thompson
Posted by: mitch dingus (ID *****7610) Date: January 18, 2009 at 12:54:13
  of 1371

George Washington Thompson married Sarah Elizabeth Dingus daughter of Philip and Nancy (McConnell) Dinges/us . Researchers give three different dates for the marriage, 1833, 1848, 1950. There appears to have been six children. The first two James and Samuel, have the same first names as the ones Ed Nickels list in his book as sons of Sarah Elizabeth Dingus, no husband, with different years of birth. The 1850 Federal Census list James and Samuel as 12 and 14 with two younger sisters. One researcher says that in the 1860 Federal Census George and Elizabeth are listed with 4 daughters in Scott Co VA.

Are James and Samuel Thompson the same as James and Samuel Dingus?
