You are right the obit does not list lyman's parents.

Most of my research is from the internet. Which is in some cases wrong. I have Lucy as daughter of samuel D. Dingus and Sarah C. Dean. Somewhere I picked up that Lyman was the son of Lucy, father unknown. I also have Lucy marring James William Peters April 4, 1900.

The 1900 Federal Census shows a Lyman A. Dingus age 1 in the Samuel D. Dingus household. Lucy is also listed at age 23.

The 1910 Federal Census shows Lyman living in the household of Samuel D Dingus. He is listed as a grandson age 9.

The 1920 Federal Census show Lyman G Dingus as head of household with wife Maggie and a brother Willliam Peter.
This is most likely the son of Lucy and James William Peters.

I also have him married to Maggie Cox, Not sure where the marriage data came from.

As my data comes from many sources some of it may be wrong.
If you can shed some light on Lyman's parents, I would very much appreciate it.
