I have just returned from a trip to WV where I met up with a long lost cousin who is putting all her info together. Unfortunately, she uses pen and paper. Once I transcribe, I will forward you what I have. You are correct about his mother Lucy. She later married Peters and had 4 more children. Lyman was raised by his g/parents. He is buried at the Dingus Family Cemetery at Nicklesville, VA.
He married Maggie Cox, daughter of Joseph Cox (VA) and Carbonna who was a full blooded Cherokee. Joseph's mother was Mattie Cox.
I laso got a ton of info from her (family bible stuff) on the names of Lyman's successive generations which I will share also.
