No. You are looking in the wrong places. There are three experts: Lyle Dingus, easy to find online at Loudon.net, BlueMax who is in Pennsylvania, Kay, and until their deaths: Ed Nickel and Wayne McConnell. Your best bet is to contact Lyle Dingus. Other than that, go to www.genforum.genealogy.com/dingus and post your queries onto the county websites. The person with the BEST on-line FMT is Deborah Thompson Clarkston, and I do not have her current e-mail address. There is another gal, Shirley, who I will be meeting this summer, and maybe she and I can get this hash worked out. Again, the most reliable information you will get will come from people and not the internet. I rarely give advice, but for what it is worth: The Mormon (LDS) genealogy website is bunk. They have Lucy Dingus Casteel living and dying in Ohio, but she and William never left Virginia. Again, whenever the name Samuel is mentioned, I look in Kentucky, especially for the Letcher County Historical Society. Blanche Dingus has some good info, most of it is in a booklet by Burdette Blair Brown. Notify Administrator about this message?
