Jim Dingus, if he is still living, might be able to give you more information.

Jim's grandfather was Abraham Dingus, and Abe had two half-brothers, Bill (possibly Willard) and Charlie Dingus.

From Jim's posting dated June 5, 2000, "He also had a son named Arthur. *snip* My father and uncles always said they were Belchers. Their father was Tom or Thomas Belcher. Their place of birth was Scott County, Virginia. They are all brothers to Callie Dingus, my great aunt."
