Is Carrie really Ruth??? Carrie being a nickname??? No Carrie show on the Freebmd after 1875, but there is a Ruth born 1879 in Godstone District of Surrey

NOPE, Carrie turns out to be Caroline Lotte in 1891 census

Sorry no help,, Her name could be a second name or Nickname, her age could be wrong, the fathers name could be wrong or ?????
