Searching for anyone possibly connected to the following Dirkes family.
Peter Dirkes born Gentingen, Kreis Bitburg Prussia, 6 Jul 1843, son of Heinrich Dirkes and Magdalena Goederts from Bauler. Immigrated in 1862 to join older brother Mathias b: 4 Sep 1836 who immigrated in 1856 to IL. Brother Johann b: 1 June 1846 immigrated in 1864.
Peter married Maria Richter and settled in Stearns Co. MN. When she died in 1892 he married Rosina Baggenstoss, a widow. Rose and Peter moved to ND, at Richardton, where they owned a hotel. Rose and Peter had several children together. When Peter died in 1915, Rose married a Klein and they moved to MT. Many of the Dirkes children ended up in MT and across to WA.
Bro. John remained in Stearns Co, MN where he married Elisabeth Dobmeir.
Mathias remained in IL, unknown wife and he was joined by his sister Elisabeth (8 Jun 1834) wife of Heinrich Poos and their 3 children in 1866.
