Found her :-) She is the daughter of Simon Disch and his wife Christina Willi of Schiers, GraubŁnden. I'll be sending your more details via email. At this time I don't know of a link between us, but many of the surnames in the pedigree are also in mine, so it is very likely that further research will demonstrate that we are distant cousins <g>. Even incomplete as this digging is, it is back to the early 1700s on some lines.

I also found them in the Germans to America series, v. 46, p. 213. They arrived at New York aboard the ship "France" from [Le] Havre, France, on 23 May 1883. Simon, Christina [listed as Chretien, male!!!], children Otto, Mathis [Mathien], David, Margaretha [Margeurite], Simon, Chretien [male, possibly an error for a daughter Christina; but also possibly a son Christian], Anna.

Their destination was listed as Ohio. Several other families from Schiers are listed near them on this passenger list.

Regards, Mike Hobart
