David:
There are two William Disheroons in question, everything documented indicates William (he didn't go by Wm Jr) was the son of the same William who fathered Seaborn and Waitman, among others. I am searching for documented proof that the first William and John were French Captains; but I'm sure you know that finding that information is not as easy as tracing family lineage since settling in the US. Everything I'm finding though, suggests the Disharoons of MD are of a different chain than the ones that settled in MD. I realize I'm basing what info I have on the Disheroon with an E side of the family on family legend; but I see no reason to discount it as of yet. All the information handed down to me by my father is accurate, right up to Seaborn. Tracing down the first William, who family legend has it settled in NC in 1793, should also lend an idea what original french surname Disheroon originated from. There's no indication that the first William migrated from MD and was part of the Disharoon w/ an A clan. On the contrary, Captain John was reputed to have settled in MD when William migrated to GA. When I obtain info proving this, I will of course post it ASAP. Most of my info is not on-line yet; because I most of what I have been doing net-wise since last summer has been done in my spare time at work, since I do not have an adequate home system at the present time. Once I do, I will set up an website that makes all info I have available.
Jack
